Martin Watson

Coordinator, Study & Stay PEI

Martin moved to Prince Edward Island with his wife in August 2021 to study at Holland College and is a graduate of the Study & Stay PEI program. Martin enjoyed a varied career in the public, private and non-profit sectors. He started at the European Commission External Affairs Directorate in Brussels in 1992 and then worked for different humanitarian aid organisations managing projects across the globe from 1996 – 2004. Martin supported the Least Developed Country group at the World Trade Organisation in Geneva on Doha Round negotiations and in 2011 set up his own communications company in Belgium and was also Head of the EU Office for Prospex, a public-affairs consultancy in Brussels. Martin is a graduate of the University of Nottingham (UK), Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium), Ruhr-Universität Bochum (Germany) and Holland College (Canada). He coordinates the Study & Stay PEI program with a focus on professional program delivery.
